Registration to the forum

Even at this early stage in our development, we have been targeted by international spammers!

They - or should I say their robots - automatically make multiple registrations on forums.

They then proceed to post dubious advertising material on our site.

We tried blocking the IP addresses of the culprits, with some success, but they use hundreds of different ones.

However, as a more robust security measure, I have configured the forum to require confirmation to the welcome email before full access is granted.

Let's hope that stops them in their tracks!!
